LEPIDUS AND OCTAVIAN, (Spring Summer 42 B.C.), silver denarius, Italian mint, (3.222 grams), obv. bare head of Lepidus to right, around LEPIDVS PONT MAX III V R.P.C., rev. bare head of Octavian to right, around partial legend, CAESAR IMP III VIR R P C, (S.1523, Cr.495/2C, RSC 2, Syd.1323). Uneven toning, with flan flaws and possibly a fouree, otherwise fine and rare.
