Norbanus, (c.83 B.C.), plated silver denarius, Rome mint, (2.92 grams), obv. diademed head of Venus to right, C. NORBANVS below, rev. caduceus, fasces and ear of corn in dotted border, (S.278, cf.Cr.357/1b, cf.Syd.739, cf.RSC Norbana 2); L.Rubrius Dossenus, (87 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.95 grams), obv. helmeted bust of Mars to right, DOS behind, rev. The plated example interesting as implements on reverse are in wrong order, first coin serrated, otherwise about fine. (3)
