Norbanus, (c.83 B.C.), plated silver denarius, Rome mint, (2.92 grams), obv. diademed head of Venus to right, C. NORBANVS below, rev. caduceus, fasces and ear of corn in dotted border, (S.278, cf.Cr.357/1b, cf.Syd.739, cf.RSC Norbana 2); L.Rubrius Dossenus, (87 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.95 grams), obv. helmeted bust of Mars to right, DOS behind, rev. Victory in biga to right on chariot, L RVBRI in exergue, (S.260, Cr.348/3, Syd.707, RSC Rubria 3). The plated example interesting as implements on reverse are in wrong order, first coin serrated, otherwise about fine. (3)
