SYRIA, Coele Syria, Heliopolis, Macrinus (A.D. 217-218), silver tetradrachm, (11.480 grams), obv. laureate bust draped and cuirassed of Macrinus to right, around AYT K M **OP*CE MAKPINOC CE, rev. eagle standing facing, head to right with wreath, between legs a lion walking right, around **DHMARC EX UP*ATOC, (S.-, Bellinger 214 [pl.XV, 11], cf.Prieur 1202 [no star, eagle head right). Very fine or better and rare.
