SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem (Antioch), Caracalla (A.D. 198-217), silver tetradrachm, (12.490 grams), issued 211-212, obv. laureate head of Caracalla to right, around legend AVT KAI ANT**W*NEINO C C E B, rev. eagle standing facing, head to right, wreath in beak, standing on leg and thigh of a sacrificial animal **D*HMAPX E**X UPA TO*C TO**G*, (cf.S.2649, Prieur 207-8 [notes 29 examples known], McAlee 671 [noted as rare with heavier beard]). Very fine and rare.
