SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VII, (138-129 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (12.890 grams), Tyre mint, issued 136-5 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus VII to right, rev. eagle standing to left with closed wings on prow of galley, palm branch behind, Tyre monogram above club to left, year to right ZOP, other letters in field, around **BASILEWS ANTIOCOU, (cf.S.7094, SC.2109.5a, cf.Newell "Tyre" [ANS-MN 73] 121, cf.SNG Israel I (Spaer) 2028). Minor flan crack on reverse, otherwise very fine or better, scarce.
