SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrius I, (162-150 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.38 grams), Antioch mint, issued period 162-155/4 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrius to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **DHMHTRIOU*, HY monogram to left, (S.7014, SC 1638.1f, SMA Newell 87). Very fine/good very fine, scarce.
