TROAS, Alexandria Troas, (c.3rd century A.D.), AE 20, (5.252 grams), obv. turreted head of City-Goddess to right, behind vexillum, around AL EXA TRO, rev. horse standing to right, around COL AVG, in exergue [TRO], (S.4917,Bellinger 486, BMC 50, SNG Cop.110). Delightful dark brown patina, nearly extremely fine.

Ex Dr. Garth Drewry Collection, Triton XI January 9, 2008 (lot 1754 part) and previously from Spink Auctions, New York, December 6-7, 1999 (lot 906 part) with collector's ticket.
