MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), AE 18, (6.032 grams), Macedonian mint, issued c.359-336 B.C., obv. head of Apollo, hair in tainia to right, dotted border, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, **DI* below, above **FILIPPOU*, (cf.S.6696-8, SNG ANS 913-4); another (5.490 grams), with **Q* below (SNG ANS 926, SNG Greece II 384-5); another (5.388 grams), with HP monogram below, (SNG ANS 923, SNG Greece II, 399-400). Second with green patination, generally very fine or better. (3)
