THEODOSIUS II, (A.D. 402-450), Indian copy of gold solidus, issued 5th century A.D., of type struck at Constantinople A.D. 408-430, (4.296 grams), obv. helmeted and cuirassed bust facing of Theodosius II, holding spear and shield, around D N THEODO SIVS P F AVG, rev. Constantinoplis seated facing holding spear and Victory, star in left field, around CONCORDI A AVGGI, in exergue CONOB, (cf.S.4296 (AE), RIC 63c.2, cf.Depeyrot 73/2). Good very fine.
