PROMISSORY NOTE, (New South Wales - later Queensland) Moreton Bay, Kangaroo Point, one shilling-1849 unused, imprint "J. Swan, Printer, Brisbane"; size 198mm x 63mm, black print on light green paper (Percy Marks p.140). Stuck to backing paper, otherwise very fine and extremely rare.

Ex W.G. & L.M. Wright Collection (Sale 89, lot 1922) previously Dr. G.H. Abbott and E. Wills Collections, from D. Raymond, circa 1947. Illustrated in the report of the ANS in 1919 by Percy Marks.
