R.N. FLEMING (1956-67), fifty pounds, letter only, R 121662 (Robb.R.274; L.634; P.162c). Slight foxing at bottom having been in frame, otherwise nearly uncirculated and very rare being the circulating type.
Scott de Young states that he has previously only recorded 10 notes of this circulating serial type. The Reserve Bank of New Zealand sold out the remainders of the Fleming fifty pounds from the late sixties through to the seventies and these were all numbered R199001 and above.
