PLAUTILLA (WIFE OF CARACALLA), (c.A.D. 202-205), silver denarius, issued 202, Laodicea mint (2.990 grams), obv. draped bust of Plautilla to right, around PLAVTILLA AVGVSTA, rev. Hilaritas standing to left, holding long palm and cornucopiae, around HILARITAS, (S.7071 [£145 EF], BMC 737, RIC 371, RSC 14). Grey tone, extremely fine/good very fine and rare.

Ex Marc Melcher Collection. The Reka-Devnia hoard of 81,044 silver coins contained 507 coins of Plautilla but only one of this reverse.
