WILLIAM I, (1066-1087) silver penny, BMC type VIII, PAXS issue, reading +OSBERN ON SIERBI (Osbern of Salisbury mint), (S.1257, N.848, BMC 896). Full flan, weak in places and die breaks on the reverse, attractive tone, very fine and very scarce.
