AETHELSTAN, (924-939), silver penny, small cross both sides, Norwich mint, obv. around A[EDE]LSTAN REX, rev. around within small cross pattee, traces of legend VI..ASVVX+ moneyer Eadgar, (S.1092, N.671-2). Toned, large fragment, with several pin-holes, otherwise very fine and rare.
