GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued 241-3, (3.872 grams), obv. radiate bust right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. VIRTVTI AVGVSTI around, Hercules standing right, holding lion skin and resting club on rock. (S.8670, RIC 95, RSC 404). Bright, extremely fine.
