MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip III, (323-316 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.048 grams), Aradus mint, issued c.323-316 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **SICE* monogram in circle over bunch of grapes to left, Z below throne, to right **FILIPPOU, below **BASILEWS*, all within dotted border, (cf.S.6749, Price P155, BMC -, M.P55). Nearly very fine, rare.
