NEW ZEALAND, World War II watercolour (original artwork) (31 x 20cm) of a New Zealand expeditionary forces soldier seated on a Pacific Island beach with the jungle in the background, with the inscription "Greetings from New Zealand in the Pacific", artist Barnes Graham. Inscription on back states"with regards & gratitude for all the hard work you put into setting this card through the printing press". Rare, very fine.
Sold with Allan Sutherland's membership certificate of the Over-Seas League dated 5th November 1931, with more details of the original artwork. Signed by Allan Sutherland. Ex Allan Sutherland Collection.
