LYDIA, Tralles, (132-131 B.C.), silver cistophoric tetradrachm, (12.360 grams), obv. cista mystica containing serpent, all within ivy wreath, rev. bow in case between two coiled serpents, to left B over **TRAL*, to right a Dionysos standing right on pedestal holding thyrsos, **PTOL* above, (cf.S.4745, SNG von Aulock 3263, BMC 45, Museum Notes Minor Hoard 1955 No.37, SNG Cop. 662 var.). Good very fine and rare.

B = year 2 = 132/1 B.C. on Von Aulock chronology. This piece appears overstruck on another coin.
