PELOPONNESOS, Achaean League, Tegea, (c.160-150 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.27 grams), obv. Zeus head right, rev. monogram of AX letters T E across, EH monogram above wreath around, (cf.S.3003, BCD 1746, Clerk 226, BMC 130-1, SNG Cop.295). Very fine or better.

Ex Diakofto Hoard (on the west coast c.20km. East of Aegium, Achaea), found 1965 (IGCH 262), contained 1601 Achaean League coins, detail of each coin on file with the British Museum. Hoard acquired by Spink & Son London. c.1970.
