ITALY, Lucania, Velia, (c.350/340-320/310 B.C.), Lucanian imitation of silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (7.26 grams), Period VI, Kleudoros workshop, obv. head of Athena to left, wearing crested Phrygian helmet, KE monogram behind neck, rev. lion standing to left devouring meat, in exergue traces of **UELHTWN*, (cf.S.454, cf.Williams 384, cf.SNG Cop 1564, BMC 81); Pisidia, Antioch, Caracalla, (A.D. 198-217), AE 23, (5.42 grams), obv. Caracalla laureate head to right, around IMP CAES M A[VR AN]T0, rev. Tyche of city standing to left with branch and cornucopiae, around ANTI [OCH CAES] COL, (cf.S.2608, cf.BMC 42-3, SNG Cop. 41-42). Both about fine or beeter. (2)
