JUSTINIAN I, (A.D. 527-565),AE half follis, Antioch mint, issued 527-538 (6.714 grams), obv. draped bust to right, partial legend around, rev. large K, long cross to left, A N T X to left, Officina A (sideways), (S.234 variant, DOC -, BMC -, R.-, MIB 132). Very fine, dark brown patina, scarce.

Ex Ponterio & Associates, at the NYINC '07 January 12-13, 2007 (lot 1770) and previously from the CNA Ltd, Mail Bid Sale X, March 21, 1990 (lot 1018).
