FAUSTINA SENIOR, wife of Antoninus Pius, (d.A.D. 141) AE sestertius, (28.48 grams), issued after 147 B.C., obv. around DIVA FAV STINA, draped bust of Faustina Senior to right, rev. around AVGV STA, Ceres standing to left, holding sceptre in left hand, right hand extended with corn ears, S C across field, (S.4614, RIC 1116, C.79, BMC 1509). Dark brown tone, weak on reverse legend, otherwise nearly extremely fine and rare in this condition.
