VESPASIAN, (A.D. 69-79), AE dupondius, Lugdunum mint, issued A.D. 77-8, (13.278 grams), obv. laureate head of Vespasian to right, around IMP CAES VESPASIAN AVG COS VIII P P, rev. around FIDES PVBLICA, Fides standing to left, holding patera and cornucopiae, (S.2347, RIC 753b, C.166). Brown patina, very fine and rare.
