Laureate bust cuirassed to left of Septimius Severus, around IMP CAES L [SEP] SEVER P, rev. the god Men standing to right, foot on bucranium, around [IV]L AVG COL PARLAIS, (S.2241, SNG Von Aulock 8617, Mabbott 2103 [this coin]). Good very fine and very rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Auction Sale 60 (lot 1903) and previously from the Thomas Ollive Mabbott Collection, Hans Schulman, New York auction, 6th June, 1969 (lot 2103, illustrated, US$100), with ticket and Spink Numismatic Circular, June 1984 (No.3512, illustrated, £90).
