PHRYGIA, Amorium, Geta, (A.D. 209-212), AE 25, (8.604 grams), obv. Laureate head to right of Geta, around **G*ETAC AV**G*OYC, rev. Pallas standing left holding patera and sceptre, shield at side, around AMOPI AN**WN*, (S.-, Waddington 5626, Mabbott 1879 [This Coin]). Bronze with delightful black surface patina, edge crack, good very fine and very rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Auction Sale 56 (lot 1881) and previously from Thomas Ollive Mabbott Collection, Hans Schulman, New York auction, 6th June, 1969 (lot 1879, illustrated), with ticket and Spink Numismatic Circular, June 1984 (No.3508, illustrated £45).
