TROAS, Alexandria Troas, Valerian, (253-268 A.D.), AE 20, (4.482 grams), obv. laureate draped and cuirassed bust of Valerian to right, around IMP LICIN VALERIA, rev. statue of Apollo Smintheus to right with branch, around COL AVG, TROAD, (cf.S.4445, Bellinger 428, SNG von Aulock 1483). Delightful dark brown patina, extremely fine and rare thus.
