THRACE, Mesembria. Philip II. As Caesar, (244-247 A.D.). AE 26mm (12.176 g), Obv. bare head of Philip on left vis … vis draped bust of Serapis on right, around MAP IOY**LIO*C **FILIPP*OC KAICAP, Rev. Hera standing left, holding patera and sceptre, around MECAMBPIAN**W*N, (cf.S.4076, Varbanov 4288, cf.SNG Cop. 666; BMC -). Good very fine, dark brown patina.
