MOESIA INFERIOR, Nicopolis ad Istrum, Macrinus, (A.D. 217-218), AE 28, (14.176 grams), obv. laureate cuirassed bust of Macrinus to right, around AV K O**PPEL* CEV MAK[PEINOC], rev. Macrinus in triumphal quadriga to right, lead by soldier, in upper field a trophy with two seated captives, around V**P AGRIPPA N[IKOPOL]**, in exergue ITWN /ICTP**W*, (S.-, Vabanov 3405, Pick 1712 [p.440, Pl.XIX, 26 same dies]). Weak in places, brown tone, fine and rare.

Lot includes a dealers ticket. An issue by the Roman Magistrate Statius Agrippa.
