Ares head to right laureate, **ARE[O]S* before, helmet behind, rev. eagle standing to left, **MAMER [TI NWN*, (cf.S.1139, SNG ANS 402, cf.SNG Cop.433, Calciati I, 3/2 [p.92], Sarstrom "The Coinage of the Mamertines" Series IV, Group A). Earthy dark brown patina, good very fine - nearly extremely fine and scarce.
