ITALY, Bruttium, Terina, (420-400 B.C.), silver stater (Sear and Holloway-Jenkins), (7.514 grams), Group B, obv. head of nymph Terina to left, hair bound with spendone, TE PINAION around on left, rev. winged Nike seated to left, on a cippus, wearing a chiton and himation, holds wreath in her extended right arm, (cf.S.508, Holloway - Jenkins 60 [similar dies], SNG ANS 837, Regling 612). Nearly extremely fine, a magnificent example and very rare.
