GERMANY, Brandenburg in den Marken, Brandenburg - Prussia and Prussia, Friedrich Wilhelm, the Great Elector, 1640-1688, silver medal, 46mm, (26.95 grams), 1679, commemorating the expulsion of Sweden from East Prussia, by Jan Boskam,, obv. a ship in full sail petched safely on a pinacle of waves, the sun above, NIMIUM NE CREDE SERENO around, below WAS IETZ FAERHT WOLCKEN AN (what now sails into clouds), rev. the same ship in a storm, sails furled, plunged into the waves, below BALD WIEDERSINCKEN KAN (can soon sink), (Fieweger 244, Henckel 3312). Choice, good extremely fine with red and blue highlights, very rare.
