EDWARD THE CONFESSOR, (1042-1066), penny, pyramids type, issued 1065-1066, (1.20 grams), obv. EADPARD REX, crowned bust of king to right with sceptre, rev. LEOFRIC ON STANF, (Leofric of Stamford) with short cross voided in each angle a pyramid, (S.1184, N.831, Br.10, BMC xv). Toned, good very fine and rare.

Ex R. Cullum Collection, purchased from B.A. Seaby, Ltd, London, February 11, 1948 for 19/-.
