C.D.C.A. (Castlemaine District Cricket Association), handcrafted medal in gold (15ct, 4.2gms, 28mm)with brooch mount, inscribed on obv. 'J.Penrose' and on rev. 'C.D.C.A. / 1892-3 / Presented / by / W.Embley Esq / to / M.C.C. / Premiers'. Very fine.

The CDCA is one of the oldest cricket associations in Victoria and Australia, playing their first season in 1892/93 with six clubs and with the exception of WWI and WWII has operated continuously since.
