IONIA, Ephesos, (c.late 6th century B.C.), silver drachm, (3.330 grams), obv. bee with tendrils, no border coiled tendrils (volutes) or ethnic, rev. crude incuse square, (cf.S.3516, BMC -, Karwiese Series V-19 [p.169 and Plate 3], SNG Turkey 114, Traite -). Very fine and rare.
