MAGNUS MAXIMUS, (A.D. 383-388), AE 2, issue struck as Augustus, Arelate mint, (4.86 grams), obv. D N MAG MAXI MVS P F AVG, diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Magnus Maximus to right, rev. around REPARTIO REIPUB, Maximus standing left holding Victory, raising kneeling female figure, TCON in exergue (S.4203, RIC 26a.3, C.3). Attractive dark green patina, extremely fine/good very fine and rare.
