CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver antoninianus, issued 215, Rome mint, (3.75 grams), obv. radiate bust draped and cuirassed to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. radiate lion walking to left, holding thunderbolt in its jaws, around P M TR P XVIII COS IIII P P, (S.6774 [£100 VF], RIC 273d, RSC 322). Toned, nearly extremely fine and rare.
