LUCIUS VERUS, (A.D. 161-169), silver denarius, issued 166, Rome mint, (2.946 grams), obv. L VERVS AVG ARM PARTH MAX, laureate head to right, rev. Victory standing to right with shield inscribed VIC PAR on base around TR P VI IMP IIII COS II, (S.5359, BMC 431, RIC 566, RSC 279). Grey tone, good very fine and scarce.

The Reka-Devnia hoard contained 1325 coins of Lucius Verus with 34 of this variety.
