AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, Lyons mint, issued 2 B.C. - A.D. 4 and later, (3.68 grams), obv. laureate head of Augustus to right, CAESAR AVGVSTVS DIVI F PAT[ER PATRIAE] around, rev. Caius and Lucius Caesars standing facing, shields and spears between them, above on left simpulum to right, and on the right a lituus to left, in exergue traces of C L CAESARES, around [AVGVSTI F COS DE]SIG PRINC IVVENT, (S.1597, RIC 207, C.43, BMC 533); Tiberius, (A.D. 14-37), silver denarius, Lugdunum mint, issued A.D. 14-37, (3.73 grams), obv. laureate head of Tiberius to right, around TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS, rev. PONTIF MAXIM, Livia seated to right, with vertical sceptre and branch, (S.1763, RIC 30, BMC 48, H.916 [304]). First off centred on the reverse, second slightly bent, both very good - fine. (2)

The coins are believed to have been recovered in India whereby adding to the extensive trade relations between Rome and India.
