SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrius I, (162-150 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.010 grams), Antioch mint, series II, second issue, issued 156-155 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrius to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS, to left **DHMH TRIOU, and **SWTHROS, monogram ANT to far left, (cf.S.7014, Newell SMA 100, SNG Israel I (Spaer) 1264). Good very fine/very fine, a rare monogram.
