LYCIA, Lycian Dynasts, Perikles, (380-360 B.C.), silver stater, (9.72 grams), issued 380-375 B.C., obv. draped and bearded bust facing of Perikles, rev. naked warrior fighting to right, sword and shield, around **PEPEKLE, trisceles before, star of eight rays to right, all within incuse square, (S.5240, Essays Robinson Pl.12, 9, Morkholm and Olcay "The Coin Hoard from Podalia", [in Num. Chron. 1971], Nos. 432-3, [dies A3/P9]). Good very fine and very rare.
