THRACE, Abdera, (375/3-365/360 B.C.), silver drachm (hemidrachm Sear), (2.724 grams), obv. Griffin springing to left with both forelegs raised, above EPIAP, below XE**LAOU*, rev. around **ABD HRI TEW N, within linear square laureate head of Apollo to right, shallow incuse square, (cf.S.1549, May [Coinage of Abdera] 519 same dies with one reported specimen = BMC 72). Very fine and very rare.
