MADRAS PRESIDENCY, in the name of Shah Alam Bahadur (A.H.1119-1124, A.D. 1707-1712), silver rupee, impressed with the mint name Chinapatan and known as the "Madras rupee", Regnal Year 1 (1707-8) and another year 6 (1712), (Pr. 119, 124, KM. -). Very fine, with clear mint and date readings, both rare. (2)

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 59 (lot 2246). See notes above regarding this issue. Years 1 and 3 were present in the Pitchfork Collection (lot 1990, Sale 48 NN) but no issues of this ruler noted in the celebrated Pridmore collection.
