ST. EUSTATIUS, Herman Gosling, one bitt, 1771 in brass (22.5 mm) (Pr.p.263, fig 45; Lyall 452; Rulau.1). Very fine and rare.

Ex W.J. Noble Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 61 (lot 1360) and previously purchased from Spink in 1987. Struck during the British Administration 1781-1814, the bitt (or real) equalled twelve and a half cents.
