JAMAICA, Presbyterian Communion token, New Broughton 1835/1845 (J.P. = James Patterson) (G.R.W.464; C.899). Good very fine and very rare.

Ex W.J. Noble Token Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 64 (lot 400) and previously purchased from Dr.W. Tankersley Collection (lot 316) (Baldwin's Auctions No.18, Oct 1998). Patterson was sent from Edinburgh in 1834 and after his death in 1843 was succeeded by the Rev.A.G.Hogg.
