JAMAICA, M. Howard, Ferry Grass (Kingston) (halfpenny) token in copper (25 mm) edge grained right, undated but circa 1795 (Pr.131; Lyall 153; Rulau 14). Good extremely fine with traces of original mint red, rare in this condition.

Ex W.J. Noble Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 61 (lot 1347) and previously from the J.G. Gartner Collection. Grass was brought in from the Ferry wharf to feed horses in Kingston hence Ferry Grass.
