GROUP OF SIX: 1939-45 Star; France and Germany Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; British War Medal 1939-45; General Service Medal 1936-49 (GVIR) - bar - S.E.Asia 1945-46; General Service Medal 1949-1952 (GVIR) - two bars - Malaya; Cyprus. 14256820 Gnr T.L. Jones R.A. on fifth medal, 1061 P/Lt. T.L. Jones F.Of. M.Pol on sixth medal. First to fourth medals unnamed, fifth and sixth medals impressed. Very fine.
After the war T.L.Jones took up an appointment in the Federation of Malaya Police Force as a Police Lieutenant then at the completion of his contract he gained an appointment in the Cyprus Police Force to qualify for that bar also. He should just have the one GSM with three bars, however he received the two GSMs which is not uncommon in these circumstances.
