EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy VIII Euergetes, (145-116 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, Salamis mint, struck year 49 = 122-121 B.C., (13.08 grams), obv. head of Ptolemy to right with aegis, rev. eagle to left on thunderbolt with closed wings, to left L**MQ* above helmet, to right **[PA]*, around **BASILEWS [PTOLEMAIOU]**, (cf.S.7910, Sv.1521). Good fine, weak in places and very scarce.
