THESSALY, Pharsalos, (424-405/4 B.C.), silver drachm, (5.504 grams), obv. Athena head to right in close fitting helmet, ornamented with wing, TH over **[IP]* behind neck, rev. horseman prancing to right, **[F]AR[S] around horse, within incuse square, TH below between legs, (cf.S.2190 [Å“300], Lavva 101 [Obv. die V50, rev. die R57], SNG Lockett 1603 [same dies]). Fine/nearly very fine and rare.
