ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.335-330 B.C.), silver stater, (7.71 grams), obv. bearded Corinthian helmeted head of Leukippos to right, lion head behind, rev. ear of corn, to right META, to left club erect over leaf, [A]MI below, (S.415, Johnston [NN&M 164] Class B.2, cf.SNG Ash.728). Bright, well centred obverse, minor edge porosity on reverse, otherwise very fine/good very fine and scarce.
