CAPTAIN JAMES COOK, memorial medal in bronze (43mm) by L. Pingo for the Royal Society in 1784 (M.H.374; BHM 258). Attractive light red brown bronzed patina, one hardly noticeable rim bruise otherwise nearly uncirculated, only 577 struck.
